This parking deck has two long expansion joints running down either side and along the buildings above. The joints were leaking into the structure below. We excavated the joints from above and removed all the old materials, backer rod and previous expansion repair materials. We then ground the top of the slab and inside the face of the joint to create a bondable surface. We installed Tremco Wilseal in the joint, followed by a protective layer of Elastomeric sheeting which was adhered with Tremco GC250. We then installed Tremco Tremdrain to create a protective layer between the joint and the rocks and dirt above. This joint repair was specifically designed for this client.
